Hermès Men: Spring Summer 2011-2012

Look 18
In this collection, Hermès shows how a successful, elegant man should dress. The beauty lies in the details, and by letting the materials used speak for themselves instead of making the man seem like he is flaunting his wealth and has a relaxed approach to life and business.

“Carefree Elegance” is the term used by Hermès Creative Director Veronique Nichanian. This contemporary collection takes clothing down to the bare essentials, but adds a fresher approach such as tailored, soft trousers in orange and mustard (Looks 19&33), which are just bold enough to make a statement, but without you showing you are trying too hard which sets the tone for the entire collection. It is also a collection where you are free to add your personal touch, and what you think will look good. If you do not like the sandals in Black, you can have them in Orange, Brown or any other colour depending on your taste, which goes for most pieces in the collection.

This “formula” of Carefree Elegance has created something fresh to the House, without upsetting its business of “creating clothing, not fashion.”
