Ceci Madame, est-Versailles

Since I am now on Vacation for a bit, I decided to take this weekend completely off and start work from Monday.

My friend Zoe (@Zorro_ness) who is also a South African in Paris decided to go to the Chateau of Versailles for the day.

Me & Zoe
<3
After making her wait because I was 30 minutes late (Sorry about that by the way Zoe, at least I saved some Fizzers for you :)) we got on RER C and went to this magical place which is by far one of my favourite places in the world. It was my 3rd time going and every time it just gets more and more amazing even though it is always so cold when I go BUT at least it was sunny and pretty today <3.

Here are some photos of my favourite things in Versailles. They arent really like the typical Versailles pictures - some are like arbitrary because I like to take pictures of random things that I can get inspiration from.

It is defiantly worth going for a day trip if you are ever in Paris (It takes like 20 - 30 minutes on RER C from Point de l'Alma or Champs de Mars) and you hit me up and I'll take you, if you buy me coffee or lunch which for me usually is just coffee anyway.

 Salon des Glaces
(Hall of Mirrors)

You know Countess duBarry would take selfies in Salon des Glaces too if she was around these days.

I love this picture because the guy in the middle on the white horse is just like: "Bitches look at me, I've arrived".

MY FRIENDS ARE AWESOME

Salut tout le monde!!

Wow its been a while.
All is the same, school is killing me but not as fast as it was because I have a week break this week where I have about 5 assignments to finish so I have some time off which is great because it means I can do some much needed blog posts.

Okay so to start off March, I have some exciting news. ...
My great friend Gabrielle Greet has started a new Magazine, based in Cape Town and features all new talent in South Africa and abroad and she asked to interview me, (why I don't know because I'm not very cool but check it out - here - :P) and she also interviewed Grimes and some of our other friends and artists and talent in South Africa.

It is defiantly worth a visit, so check out VGBND (Vagabond) magazine online here: VGBND

ALSO

Remember when I did the photoshoot: "You've Got Growing up to do Kid"?

Well my friends Aneta and Felik (Street Fashion Paris) now did a post about me on their blog too: Upcoming Designer and South African and Polish Street Fashion its pretty cool :).

Givenchy - Le Rouge Givenchy

Because there is nothing sexier than red lips and leather.

You've got growing up to do kid

I have never really been good at expressing myself.
I struggle to talk to people because my mind works to fast I can't really explain what I am trying to think. One of my friends just looked at me blankly one day and said: "You do know that no-one understands what you are talking about right?".
Maybe because I was talking about my view on Picasso and she didn't know anything about him or something.

I think that is why I love fashion so much.
It gives me a way to show how I am feeling without having to talk, and at least if I look good (or so I think), people will think I am feeling good even if I am not.

So I was really excited when I got given this Lookbook assignment for school, and we got given the guideline of "Do whatever you want", so I felt this was really a chance to show my style and what I like since I can't really explain it in words.

I took inspiration from like 1980's, grunge, Vivienne Westwood and just some outfits I have tried and experimented with. I love to mix patterns, colours and textures at the moment. Everything is all grey in Paris everyday so I always stand out with my outfits haha.

I wanted to tell a story of how I felt when I moved to Paris and how I still feel a lot of the time.
Someone who is lost, who tries to be grown up but is trying to still be fun and his childhood but has so much other things to worry about and fashion is one way how he still has fun and gets to just do what the fuck he wants.
